Two shooters standing near the firing point, enjoying Bisley week

We’ve had a great time at the Bisley National Rifle Meeting 2024, thank you to everyone that helped out before, during and after the event to ensure it was such a success!

Big thanks also to everyone that attended and competed, we hope you had a good time and look forward to seeing you next year – Save the Date 9th – 16th August 2025!  We’ll confirm the dates in due course but that’s our provisional date for next year’s Meeting.

We’ve got a new competition coming for the Bisley National Rifle Meeting 2025 – the Brock D. Comer Memorial Competition.

Aimed at international shooters, this exciting new competition will be run alongside the Roberts, we have more information here:  https://www.nsra.co.uk/bisley-national-rifle-meeting

NSRA Bisley offices have moved into the ground floor of the Lord Roberts Centre.  There’s still ongoing work throughout the building as part of the changes, but the move went well, and all staff are settling in nicely!  There was a wonderful and dedicated set of volunteers that helped make this possible, assisting us in various ways over the last few months to make the transition as easy as possible and set up the different spaces required.  Thanks to everyone that helped out including Kevin Sinclair, Board Member Janet Howden (and friends), Phil Martin, Yvette Edwards and Centurions, the in-house club at LRC, for their sterling work building the new airgun ranges at the Centre. In particular, thanks to Steve Elliott and Graham Reeves who have spent many hours on the project so far.  We are incredibly grateful for all your support!

NSRA Aldersley has had a fantastic refresh thanks to some amazing volunteers!  Steve Brown, Alec Davis, John Davis, Simon Beech, Mike Morris and the Goodyear Rifle Club have been busy painting, tidying, grass cutting and fixing all different aspects of the building.  It was perfect timing as the final Paralympic Camp before Paris 2024, that was held at NSRA Aldersley shortly after all this work was completed.  Big thanks to everyone that helped to give it a pristine make over!

It’s been a busy few weeks and it’s not slowing down with the West Midlands Open this weekend at Aldersley and more events coming up in the future including the Training Camps and Coaches Seminar by 2016 Olympic Gold Medallist, Ginny Thrasher in November!
