The first NSRA / ELEY Competition was held in 1977 as the NSRA’s celebration of the Queen’s Silver Jubilee.  We are incredibly thankful for ELEY’s long-term support and generous sponsorship of this event, which continues to this day.

This postal competition with shoulder-to-shoulder finals (Prone & 3P at the Bisley National Rifle Meeting during the first weekend and all other finals later in the year, if entries suffice) is a highly anticipated and well-loved event within the community. This competition typically opens for entries in September and closes by the end of October.

Though it has had several refreshes in both name and disciplines available over the years, it has always been well-supported.  Benchrest shooting was introduced in 2003 and not long after Lightweight Sport Rifle was added to reflect its growing popularity.
