British 50m Open Championships
Due to the reorganisation of The Lord Roberts Centre (more details on this can be found here and here), the NSRA British 50m Prone Championship (shot under NSRA rules and on paper targets) will be hosted by the team at Sywell Range near Northampton. Additionally, this event includes the Earl Roberts 1923 Match and 50 Metre Rapid-Fire Match, which were previously contested at the National Rifle Meeting (Bisley). Also featured in the competition programme is the 100 Yards Sharpshooters Pairs Match, a rapid-fire disc-breaking competition that was previously contested at the Scottish Rifle Meeting.

2025
Sywell Classic Information
1) Saturday 7: The NSRA British 50 Metres Prone Rifle Championship (shot on paper target and under NSRA rules).
The course of fire is a Double English Match, consisting of two 60 shot courses to determine the NSRA British 50m Prone Rifle Champion.
The first 60 shots course will commence at 10:00 and the second at 13:30. Entrants must shoot both courses to be eligible for prizes.
There will be NO Final for this competition.
2) Sunday 8: The Earl Roberts 1923 Match (shot under NSRA rules).
20 shots each at 100 yards, 50 metres, and 25 metres, plus a further 10 shots time limit at 25 metres. All of which are fired in the prone position.
Shot on modified 1923 style ‘SMRC’ paper targets specially commissioned by the NSRA.
Match start time: 10:00
There will be NO Final for this competition.
3) Sunday 8: 50 Metres Rapid-Fire Match (shot under NSRA rules).
20 shots prone fired within a time limit of 180 seconds at two 1922-style ‘SMRC’ paper 50 metre rapid-fire cards specially commissioned by the NSRA, and one minute firing an unlimited number of shots at a 50-metre Skirmisher paper target specially commissioned by the NSRA.
Match start time: 12:00
There will be NO Final for this competition.
4) Sunday 8: Sharpshooter Pairs Match (shot under NSRA equipment rules).
Disc breaking at 100 Yards, under knock-out conditions. Pairs event. **Not restricted to club pairs**
