The National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) has been established for over 120 years. We are the National Governing Body for small-bore rifle & pistol, air rifle & pistol and crossbow target shooting.

We represent the needs of target shooters, support our affiliated clubs & members and help introduce newcomers to the sport.  We offer coaching courses, range management qualifications & deliver a full choice of competition opportunities for all our disciplines. We strive for accessibility and inclusion, believing that everyone can experience and enjoy our sport.

As a charity with a rich history, its original purpose was to improve the target shooting skills of the country to enable a better defence of the realm.  The NSRA’s modern focus is to encourage everyone to take up the sport of target shooting, enjoy the benefits and be the best they can be.  We help the Team GB athletes of tomorrow by engaging them and encouraging them at grassroots levels, providing education, training, competitions and much more!

Target shooting is calming, inclusive & accessible, giving a great sense of achievement in a social environment.
