Winter Postal 24-25 - ENTRIES OPEN

The NSRA Competitions Team are pleased to announce that entries to our Winter 2024-25 Season of Postal Competitions are OPEN for County Team, Club Team and Individual Leagues, as well as Individual Competitions.

All Winter 2024-25 Postal Competition entries will close 15th August 2024. Junior competitions & competitions juniors usually enter (230, 231, 224, ) will reopen for 2 weeks on the 2nd of September 2024 to allow schools to enter.

All leagues are 10 rounds in a Round Robin format of 1 round per fortnight (except for rounds 1 & 2 which have the same last day for shooting), shot in divisions of 6 teams or individuals, whereas non-league competitions are shot in stages or 1, 2 or 3 sets of a course of fire to be shot by specified dates (this varies depending on the Competition). Club leagues are open for club/local scoring with our dedicated team of Central Scorers providing quality checking throughout the season. Where there is need for ‘Byes’ in league competitions, rounds against a ‘Bye’ must be shot and the score(s) submitted.

IMPORTANT!!! CHANGES TO WINTER 2024-25 POSTAL COMPETITIONS

Change in competition numbers:

Some competition numbers and competition names have been changed.

This is by request from the Competitions department in order to standardise numbers between the Summer and Winter Leagues:

  • Comp 406 WAS Individual Short Range Bench Rest League NOW Individual Time Limit League

  • Comp 490 NOW Individual Short Range Bench Rest League

  • Comp 465 WAS Individual 10m Airgun League. This has been split into 2 competitions (Rifle and Pistol)

  • Comp 463 NOW Individual 10m Air Rifle League

  • Comp 484 NOW Individual 10m Air Pistol League

  • Comp 470 WAS Individual Pistol League (This comp has had a number changed to Comp 475)

  • Comp 475 NOW Individual Pistol League

Change in concurrent shooting:

  • 412 Women's League can now be shot concurrent with 205, 210, 405 and 410

Competitions that are being changed:

  • 465 Individual 10m Airgun League is being split into (484) Individual 10m Air Pistol League & (463) Individual 10m Air Rifle League - 484 may be shot concurrent with 280 (10m Air Pistol Club Team League), 463 may be shot concurrent with 260 (10m Air Rifle Club Team League)

Counties

We also remind counties that they need to inform us of their one contact (and the email address of said contact) to receive emails, stickers, etc. by the 30th of June 2024. The following counties have not informed us:

  • Bedfordshire

  • Cheshire & North Wales

  • Derbyshire

  • Essex

  • Kent

  • Middlesex

  • Northants Leicester & Rutland

  • Penzance & St Ives

  • Staffordshire

Captains are able to make team and individual entries via the Online Results Portal (ORP) at https://results.nsra.co.uk. Please refer to the instructions on the “How to Enter” page of the ORP or the Green Help button – if you have any issues with entry, please email competitions@nsra.co.uk

Individuals who wish to make their own entries (i.e. not via your club) will need to complete an Individual Entry Form.

Payment can be made by BACS transfer (details will be on entry confirmation emails), by card over the telephone or with cheques posted to NSRA HQ (address on entry form). Payment must be made by the entry close date. Cheques should be made payable to ‘National Small-bore Rifle Association’.
