For people new to shooting, our NSRA YPS Course is a great introduction to target shooting, enabling you to see if you like the sport and giving you a great foundation at the same time.

For Scout Leaders wanting to deliver target shooting, the NSRA YPS Tutors Course is a great place to start on a career in coaching the activity.  The course supplies the key knowledge you’ll need to run ‘try a shoot’ days and deliver YPS Courses. It isn’t stand-alone qualification and sits within the NSRA Coaching Scheme and is the launch pad for higher level qualifications.

The NSRA and The Scout Association work together promoting and encouraging young people to take up target shooting, providing an opportunity to gain access to our qualifications. We have a special arrangement with The Scout Association, allowing access to training without the usual stipulation of being an NSRA member.
