Help Secure the Future of the Bisley National Rifle Meeting
As the NSRA celebrates its 125th anniversary, we are reflecting on the generations of volunteers, competitors, clubs and supporters who have helped shape and sustain our sport since the Association's founding in 1901.
The Bisley National Rifle Meeting remains one of the most important events in the UK target shooting calendar. More than a competition, it is a celebration of small-bore rifle shooting, bringing together prone and benchrest competitors of all ages and abilities from across the UK and beyond.
Supporting a Valued Tradition
For many years, the Bisley National Rifle Meeting has required financial support from the Association. While the event continues to provide a unique and valued experience for competitors, participation has declined and the cost of delivering a safe, high-quality Meeting has steadily increased.
Today, the cost of running the event exceeds £100,000. Despite these challenges, the NSRA Trustees have continued to support the Meeting, recognising the important role national competitions play in fulfilling the Association's charitable objectives, encouraging participation, promoting excellence and fostering a strong shooting community.
Looking to the Future
Like many organisations, the NSRA continues to face rising operational, infrastructure and inflationary costs. These increasing financial pressures place a significant strain on the Association's resources.
As we mark our 125th year, the Trustees remain committed to securing the long-term future of the Bisley National Rifle Meeting. To help achieve this, we are inviting members, affiliated clubs, organisations and supporters to consider making a donation towards the event.
Every Contribution Makes a Difference
We are extremely grateful for the generous support already received from clubs, county associations, individual members and international supporters, including the Blackhawks in the USA.
Further donations will help reduce pressure on the Association's core funds and allow continued investment across all shooting disciplines while supporting the future of the Bisley National Rifle Meeting.
Donations of any size are welcome and will be used directly to support the Meeting.
Unless requested otherwise, donors will be recognised in the Roll of Honour and the Competitor Programme.
