Calling All Pistol Shooters!

Would you compete in the NSRA National Pistol Championship 2025?

The NSRA PAC (Pistol, Airgun and Crossbow) Committee is revisiting the possibility of holding a National Pistol Championships in 2025. The previously annual event has been mothballed since Covid due to low entry numbers in the years just before the pandemic. We feel the event needs a revamp and we’d like to ensure that it provides disciplines within the competition that will be popular with the majority of our members.

The Committee would like to gauge interest from members around holding a Pistol Championship in 2025 and in addition which pistol events you would like to see included in the programme. We do not, for instance, intend to include stand-alone 10m individual matches, as the National Championships for those events take place during BOAG.

The Committee will also need to consider the most appropriate range(s) to use for a championship meeting. This will depend on the interest shown in including various disciplines, for example, if everyone's preference is for 25m pistol events and a 10m mixed teams match with finals then we can utilise the LRC at Bisley. If however, 50m pistol and 20yd pistol events are more popular then, we need to look at using alternative range space given the current changes to the LRC and potentially we may need to hold the championships over two weekends with events at Bisley one weekend and a 50m range elsewhere on another weekend.

We would be really grateful if you could complete our short survey and help guide our plans for 2025.
