Prone Rifle Club Instructor course

Event Description: A two day club instructor course for Prone rifle discipline. Applicants must be NSRA full members and hold a Range Conducting officer qualification (RCO). Club Instructor - Prone Rifle

Event Description: The NSRA Prone Rifle Club Instructor Course is designed for experienced prone rifle shooters who want to develop the skills and knowledge needed to coach, instruct, and support club-level prone rifle shooting. This course provides a clear pathway to becoming a confident and effective instructor within an NSRA-affiliated environment.

Participants will learn best practice in safe range management, rifle and equipment setup, prone position fundamentals, and effective coaching techniques. The course is led by an experienced Regional Coach and County Coach, it is for shooters of all abilities, from beginners to experienced competitors.

NSRA YPS Rifle Tutor Training Course

Event Description: This is the standard course for "taster" sessions in air rifle shooting in the NSRA Youth Proficiency Scheme Tutor's Diploma. This equips candidates to run have-a-go sessions in air rifle shooting and also to take young people for introduction to shooting over a longer period (as in Scouts or other uniformed groups). It is the standard qualification used by members of the Scout Association as written into Scout POR's.

NSRA YPS Tutor (Air Rifle) Course

Event Description: Qualify to deliver Air Rifle target shooting to young people, including as a Scout activity.
At the end of the course, you should be able to:
• Take over an existing air rifle and run it safely,
• Set up a safe temporary airgun range in a suitable location such as a Scout HQ or open space.
• Help a young person learn to shoot an air rifle competently,
• Run an approved introductory course for young people in target shooting with sport air rifles.

Grand Prix Two (GP2)

Event Description: This is a summer series of 5 air GPs. Finishing with GP5 - "The Nessie" - event in September. This is the 5th year of us running "The Nessie".

Our range is fully electronic using Megalink targets. Scatt/noptel and other training aids are available for pre-event training.

Each GP is a 10m air-rifle and/or air-pistol 60 shot qualification with finals. Classed events A-D. Precision and sporter air-rifle with relaxed ISSF rules for classes B-C-D. For new-start pistol shooters 2-handed style is permitted.
Pre-event training is available on the day before the event.

NSRA's Bisley National Rifle Meeting 2026 - Entries Opening

Event Description:  The Bisley National Rifle Meeting is the NSRA’s flagship .22 event, featuring a weekend and full week of shooting competitions and socialising as the .22 community gets together for this historic annual event.

Join us for the weekend and experience the Weekend Aggregate or stay and cocoon yourself in ‘the Bisley Bubble’, for a week of shooting in delightful surroundings and spending time with fellow shooting enthusiasts!

The week culminates in a fabulous prize presentation ceremony.

This year we’ve shifted the date due to accommodation issues and the World F Class Championships taking place on our usual August dates.

NSRA Club Instructor (Airgun) Course

Event Description: The Club Instructor (Airgun) course is a techniques course in air rifle shooting in the standing position and in deliberate air pistol shooting. The course is especially recommended to current NSRA YPS Tutors in Air Rifle or Pistol who wish to instruct in the alternate air discipline or to develop their skills as air rifle & pistol instructors. NSRA YPS Tutor (Sport Crossbow) Course

Event Description:  Qualify to deliver Sport Crossbow shooting to young people, including as a Scout activity.
At the end of the course you should be able to:
• Take over an existing archery/sport crossbow range and run it safely with novice sport crossbow shooters,
• Set up a safe temporary sport crossbow range in a suitable location such as a Scout HQ or open space.
• Help a young person learn to shoot a sport crossbow competently,
• Run an approved introductory course for young people in target shooting with sport crossbows
