Dewar World Championships
Part of the annual Bisley National Rifle Meeting at Century Range, Bisley Camp UK
2026 Inaugural Dewar World Championships
Part of the Bisley National Rifle Meeting
The Dewar World Championships is a brand new global .22 prone rifle competition, launched by the National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA) as part of its 125‑year anniversary celebrations. The event will be held annually as part of the Bisley National Rifle Meeting.
The 2026 Championships mark the first opportunity for shooters to compete for the official title of Dewar World Champion, in both Individual and Team categories. This historic launch builds on more than a century of Dewar tradition and welcomes competitors from shooting nations across the world.
The NSRA’s Bisley National Rifle Meeting has been part of the fabric of small-bore shooting in the UK for over 100 years. It is a truly unique experience, featuring either a weekend or a full week of competitive shooting and socialising at the height of the English summer.
Bisley Camp is home to a wide range of shooting organisations and is widely regarded as the heart of shooting in the UK. Its historic Century Range, with its ever-changing wind conditions and fabled mirage, provides a fitting and demanding challenge for the inaugural Dewar World Championships. These new competitions will be a star attraction within an already outstanding programme, adding further global interest to the NSRA’s premier annual small-bore event.
Building on the successful international launch of the Brock D. Comer Memorial Competition in 2025, which offered shooters of all levels the opportunity to compete for significant honours, the inaugural Dewar World Championships will help propel the Bisley National Rifle Meeting onto the world stage. The NSRA looks forward to welcoming athletes from across the globe to compete in both of these prestigious events.

The Brock D. Comer Memorial Competition
Part of the Bisley National Rifle Meeting
The Brock D. Comer Memorial Competition returns to the Bisley National Rifle Meeting in 2026 as a growing international highlight of the programme, strengthening the long‑standing bonds between British and overseas small‑bore shooting communities.
The competition was established alongside the historic Field Marshal Lord Roberts Trophy Match, which has for generations seen teams from Great Britain and the United States compete in the spirit of friendly rivalry at Bisley and Camp Perry alike. From those meetings have grown enduring friendships, shared respect, and a deep sense of camaraderie that lies at the heart of international small‑bore shooting.
Created as a meaningful way to welcome and recognise overseas competitors and others who support the Bisley National Rifle Meeting but are not eligible to compete in the British Long Range Prone Small-bore Championship (often known as ‘The Roberts’ and ‘The Bobs’), the Brock D. Comer Memorial Competition offers international shooters their own opportunity to compete at the iconic Century Range.
Open to shooters who are not eligible for the Roberts British Prone Championship, the Brock D. Comer Memorial Competition is contested over two stages, with Stage One shot concurrently with Stage One of the Roberts Match. This shared format reinforces the close connection between the events while ensuring a competitive and inclusive experience for all participants.
Now an established annual feature of the National Meeting, the Brock D. Comer Memorial Competition continues to attract competitors from around the world and plays a key role in the Bisley National Rifle Meeting’s growing international profile.
