Neil Almond has very kindly created a National Ranking for three of the Summer 2023 competitions, 100, 102 & 103. This took a good many hours due to the manual nature of the process, so we’d like to thank Neil very much for his time and effort in making this possible.
We're really looking forward to welcoming all the NSRA Eley competitors to the Lord Roberts Centre this weekend (14th & 15th October 2023).
Here is timetable 1 and 2.
At the GB Dewar Match on Saturday 8th July the GB Team shot a new Team record score of 7,854 and beat Team USA (7,773) by 81 points, winning the Dewar Match 2023!
Given the amazing performance of the Team, selection for the GB Dewar Team 2023 was clearly very tough this year, and to beat a GB Team record that had stood for almost 15 years (7,852 set in 2009) is a fantastic achievement.
As many of the GB Dewar Team trialists slogged up, down and across our crowded motorways towards the Appleton Rifle Club Range in Cheshire, they may have been thinking,
“Is all this time, expense and hassle worth it?”
By the early evening of Saturday 10th July, they had their answer, as all had experienced the highs and lows of competing for a prized place as one of the GB Dewar Team members, and 20 had experienced the challenge and intensity of competing in the match itself.
The NSRA Competitions Team are pleased to announce that entries to our Winter 23-24 Season of Postal Competitions are OPEN for County Team, Club Team and Individual Leagues, as well as Individual Competitions.
All Winter 23-24 entries will close the 30th of August 2023.
PLEASE NOTE THAT: County Cup (500), Long Range Ladies Team (502), BSA Cup (530) and Mrs Charles Laws Trophy (532) entries have opened alongside the Winter League and are able to be entered on the ORP.
Following over 5 years of service to the Competitions Department, Sandra Smith has decided to leave the NSRA. We would like to thank Sandra for her sterling service and we wish her every good wish for the future.
In the Competitions Department it’s still business as usual, with Cheryl, Eleanor, Laura and Rose working on current competitions and the backlog of awards.
