We encourage you to have your say, if you haven't already, and submit a response via the HSE's dedicated webpage https://consultations.hse.gov.uk/crd-reach/lead-in-ammunition/ within the next few days.
It’s important that as many people respond as possible, to put across the impact of any proposed changes to legislation on our sport and the people who take part in it.

The Heart of England Community Foundation has recently launched it's Inclusive Communities funding initiative for the West Midlands. If you have social media, they are on Facebook and their website has further information.
It looks like a great opportunity for clubs in the area! Here's their blog on the new £9 million of Commonwealth Games legacy funding they are looking to distribute to grassroots projects.

This consultation this time is based around the socioeconomic effects of the proposed changes.

The Gehmann Zero Magnification Dioptre has been passed for use by the ISSF. However, although these are used to correct vision problems, they do not constitute a single corrective lens under NSRA rules and therefore cannot be used in conjunction with an Eagle Eye.
NSRA Rules say:
8.4.3 A lens may be used attached to or forming part of the foresight………………………… The lens may not be used in addition to any other lens or system of lenses except a single prescribed sight-correction lens. The sight-correction lens may be either attached to the rearsight or worn by the shooter.
And:
8.4.1.2 Aperture. A rearsight, including tube sights, which may, if so desired, have attached a single lens or system of lenses not containing an aiming point as a substitute for, or in addition to, prescribed spectacles.
The Gehmann Zero Magnification Dioptre isn’t a single, prescribed sight correction lens. It’s an adjustable, off the shelf, sight correction, multiple lens system and so would not be allowed in conjunction with an Eagle Eye.
It can, however, be used with a foresight that doesn’t contain and Eagle Eye.

The NSRA are happy to announce that entries for the British Open Air-Gun Championship have now opened.
Held at the Lord Roberts Centre, Bisley on 24th and 25th February 2024 this is one of the highlights of the Air-Gun competition season and one you don’t want to miss!
Get your entry in early as the closing date is 15th December 2023.

Congratulations to the winners and all competitors taking part, big thanks to our volunteers and staff and special thanks to our sponsors, ELEY! We were very glad Martyn Buttery was able to attend despite getting stuck at Munich an extra day due to a flight cancellation!

Neil Almond has very kindly created a National Ranking for three of the Summer 2023 competitions, 100, 102 & 103. This took a good many hours due to the manual nature of the process, so we’d like to thank Neil very much for his time and effort in making this possible.
