Notice of Cancellation

It is with great regret that this Championship event is to be cancelled due to poor entry numbers.

An entry of only 23 is a very disappointing response from the Association's pistol shooting membership.

Given that the 2017 Championship was cancelled with only 73 entries it can be seen that a mere 23 entries this year means that the event could never be given "Championship" status.

The NSRA would like to thank everyone who competed last week in some very testing conditions. Also thanks to the Competitions Team and volunteers for keeping the 'show on the road' throughout.

M. Chapman closingWhat a week, a very special week. With a letter of greetings from our Patron, a visit from the Lord Lieutenant, the Duke of Buccleuch and we had a 30% increase in entries.

We had the usual cocktail of weather and the ‘I Shot 100 at Scotland 100’ engraved whisky glasses were much sought after. Our supporting partners, sponsors, donations were generous. All were listed in the Programme.

This is the first meeting without Ken. We miss him. We miss his enthusiasm, drive, dedication, commitment and his passion for Scotland. We must ensure the heritage Ken worked for so tirelessly is secured.

We had two special competitions, the Champion of Champions and the Scotland 100 Match. Both went down well.

The Competitions Department would like to thank all the competitors who competed at the 100th Scottish National Meeting. We hope that you enjoyed the meeting and that you will continue to support us by attending in 2020.

We look forward to welcoming you to the 101st Scottish National Meeting from 27th June to 3rd July 2020.
