Emergency Relief fund:
Sport Wales have announced today that they will only be processing grant applications for the Emergency Relief Fund (ERF). This means clubs and organisations will no longer be able to apply for any other new grants, including Community Chest and Development Grants. This is a temporary measure and in recognition that it is very unlikely that any new sports development activity will be able to be progressed in the current climate.  The Emergency Relief fund is scheduled to remain available until 30 June.

The first round of the Emergency Relief fund decision panel processed 116 applications, awarding over £160,000 of emergency funding to clubs in immediate need of help.

Future panels will be convening weekly to distribute the remaining funding, with the next panel scheduled for Tuesday 28th April.

Sport Wales Board:
Sport Wales will be holding their first virtual Board meeting today and will be assessing the measures already taken as a result of Coronavirus as well as the immediate priorities over next six months.
