As the impact of the Coronavirus Pandemic has become more widespread, as well as better understood, the Association decided to cancel all of its programmed Shoulder to Shoulder Competitions for 2020. When the Board “met” last week they ratified this decision and I can now confirm absolutely that all of the NSRA’s Shoulder to Shoulder Competitions are cancelled for 2020.
The Association will continue to monitor the situation and depending on how things develop will give serious
consideration to the introduction of special one off events in an attempt to offer some sort of competition for our clubs and members. This will be wholly dependent on the Coronavirus Pandemic being under control and in a way that would not compromise either Government advice or the safety of everyone.
In the knowledge that the Association is looking to the future in a positive way, I can confirm the dates of all of the Shoulder to Shoulder Competitions for 2021 which are as follows:
British Open Airgun Championships 20-21 February 2021
Visually Impaired Championships 6-7 March 2021
Scottish Meeting 26 June – 2 July 2021
Junior International 9-13 August 2021
National Rifle Meeting 14-22 August 2021
Ken Nash Memorial VI Championships 4-5 September 2021
Pistol Championships 11-12 September 2021
Hopefully everyone can start to look forward to a full competitive schedule next year. Decisions regarding the dates for Postal Competitions will be made in the future when things become a little clearer. We will of course respond to enquiries about entry fee refunds and “carry over” to 2021 as soon as we are in a position to do so.
