The World Masters was held in Suhl, Germany recently and Waldek Mickiewicz of the NSRA Senior Pistol squad took first place in the 10m Air Pistol in this inaugural event.

Waldek started steadily and improved as the 60 shot qualification progressed, finishing with 97-96-97 and a total score of 571 and 12 inner tens.

This qualified Waldek for the final in first place and he duly delivered with a final score of 237.6, beating Alexander Knayazev of Russia into the silver medal position. This was a fantastic result for Waldek and he is the first ISSF World Masters Champion in the history of pistol shooting.
