British Shooting has announced its shortlist for London 2102. Details can be found HERE.

The Mayor of London has announced a further £1m of funding to boost a host of sporting facilities at clubs, playing fields and recreation grounds across London.
The cash injection for 20 different projects is the latest to be awarded from the Mayor’s £15.5m Sports Legacy Fund, which with match funding and private sector investment now stands at over £30m. Amongst the funding provided is £75, 000 to Stock Exchange Rifle Club for the construction at London Bridge of three new rifle ranges with disabled access.

An announcement of disciplinary action taken by the NSRA against Mr S Cooke of Maidenhead Target Shooting Club appeared in NSRA News (page 21 of The Rifleman, Spring/Summer 2011 edition).

A trip to the International Open at KSVR Rotterdam by Surrey rifle shooters resulted in gold for Lina Jones (589) in the Ladies 60 shot ‘Olympic Match’ and a Bookham R.C. repeat win for their 2010 team of L Jones, Mandy Jordan-Cooke (584) and Peter Jones (581) (1754 ex 1800).

The entry form for the NSRA Eley Postal competition has been sent to club secretaries with the Autumn Rifleman. It is also available HERE.

The Secretary of State for Culture, Olympics, Media and Sport, the Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP has opened a new target sports range facility at Farncombe & Godalming Rifle Club in his South West Surrey constituency. The Secretary of State unveiled a plaque on 15 October to mark the occasion 

The Home Counties Co-ordinating Committee are again running the Browne Martin Knock-out Competition for clubs in the Home Counties. The conditions and entry form may be found here. It is hoped that as many clubs as possible will support this competition. Teams do not have to shoot their cards all in one day. Each team member may shoot his/her cards at any time between 16th November and 31st December 2011.
