The BBC has announced that it is to show live coverage of shooting on every day of competition at this year’s London Olympics. All the action from the shooting finals will be available to view live on the BBC website, as well as being featured across the corporation’s output on television and radio.

 

Inside the Games

Shooters have always been there to be shot at. Not just by successive Governments whose domestic gun laws made them pariahs with pistols, but those who deem the sport politically incorrect and its practitioners the biggest bunch of outlaws since Jesse James and Billy the Kid were on the rampage.

The final of the Browne Martin Cup, a competition for clubs in the Home Counties, tookphoto place at the Lord Roberts Centre on 18th March. The final is in knock-out format and Chobham, shown here, beat Hendon in the close-run final round. In the semi-final Hendon's score of 983 was a record for this competitoin since its reintroduction.
