The Club's 29th Annual General Meeting was held on 18th May 2011 at the Bath Arms Hotel, Cheddar. At the conclusion of business the Club's President, Vera Lee, was invited by the Chairman to present awards to those successful in the past year's Club Competitions.

The winners were:
Mike Griffin- Club Champion, plus Golden Shot Trophy for groups and rapids and the Peterphoto Crandon Trophy for outdoor shooting.
John Ham-Harold Leonard Williams Trophy
Phil Neve- Captain's Cup for best improved shooter
Barbara Griffin- Ladies Handicap winner
David Oatley- Mens Handicap
Pairs Trophies to Mike Griffin and Keith Thickett
Mad Hatter's Duo - John Ham
Andy Hobbs Trophy and Junior Cup to Tom Paisey
In the team events, the Ken Lane Trophy was won by Barbara Griffin, Mike Griffin and John Ham
The Battle of the Sexes was won by the men two matches to one.
Medals for the best scores on a monthly basis by individuals in the 2010/11 Somerset County winter leagues were awarded to - A team, Mike Griffin three and Keith Thickett one; B team, Dave Oatley three and Tom Paisey one.
In the Bristol & District leagues - A team, Dave Oatley two; B team, Bob Abbott and Barry Scott one each.
After the ballot for the "coveted" Wooden Spoon the popular recipient was Keith Thickett. The Club Captain then recounted "incidents" occurring during the winter season and probably best forgotten by the members involved. Two, however, were both problems with rifle sights and chose to award "Bent Bullets" to Ruth Bell and Dave Oatley.
Cheddar Valley Rifle Club
is an established and fully approved 0.22 calibre target rifle shooting club with their own 25 yard indoor range in the village. We welcome new members. All equipment needed is provided by the club.
