In response to the proposed banning of lead in ammunition, the NSRA has produced the document ("Lead in Small-bore Target Shooting" together with 4 annexes) linked below. This is being shared with other organisations to help them produce their own versions in the context of their disciplines. Although this will be submitted from the NSRA, it will also add to the combined response from the target shooting sector though our links to BSSC and other shooting organisations.
Whilst a collective response from the sport is critical, it is very important for all clubs and individuals to make their thoughts and comments known separately. Please use the information contained in this document to help form your ideas and construct your own individual responses.
The Health and Safety Executive has launched an online consultation which can be viewed at https://consultations.hse.gov.uk/crd-reach/restriction-proposals-001/consultation/
The NSRA has also responded to the European Chemical Agency (ECHA) who are conducting a similar survey and consultation.

British Shooting, in partnership with the NSRA invite all Target Sprint Leaders who attained their qualification prior to August 2021, to take part in a 1-hour refresher online session, in order to maintain their Leader Qualification.
Attending a 1-hour Refresher session will be compulsory for those who wish to keep their Target Sprint Leader Qualification. The sessions will be delivered via Microsoft Teams by Paul Langford, (Target Sprint Educator).
The session is based around introducing the Athlete & Coach Framework. This was compiled by British Shooting, who have brought together the content from coaches and practitioners across all Olympic and Paralympic disciplines and Target Sprint. Along with good practice and modern research from UK Sport, UK Coaching and CIMSPA.
Entries are now open for both the Schools Pistol and Rifle Championships 2021-22.
The format for this season sees the regional round shot remotely. Athletes can enter the Schools Rifle and/or Schools Pistol events via the respective pages on the British Shooting website.
