The NSRA would like to advise you all today that our CEO, Iain Root, has decided to take early retirement from the Association for health reasons.Iain Root retires

As some of you may be aware Iain has recently been battling Coronavirus and is now recovering at home after a spell in hospital. First and foremost we wish him a speedy and full recovery from an illness we know will have hit him hard. Iain's health must come first and this of course is a concern shared by his family.

Iain has been our CEO for the past eight years and he has overseen considerable change within the NSRA. We would like to thank him for helping steer us through challenging times while benefiting us with his considerable experience gained through working with various sports' national governing bodies.

A more detailed message of thanks to Iain will appear in the next issue of On Target due out on 15 March. In the meantime if individual members of staff or the NSRA would like to pass on best wishes and thanks to Iain please do so by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. The most important thing now is to wish him the best of health for his retirement and to thank him for being a valued colleague and friend.
