British Shooting West Midland and North West Schools Championships has today reached Ellesmere College, Shropshire. 130 entrants taking part. Results at British Shooting.

This summer six competitors took part shooting in the "Unsupported" competition in two divisions and 63 competitors in the "Supported" competition in 11 divisions.

The standard of shooting has been very high with some new winners.

British Shooting could be found at Bisley recently speaking to cadets about the Talent Pathway. Lots of fantastic shooting - big thank you to all involved - especially the coaches.

The Pistol Committee are looking at a possible new strategy relating to the 'Mayleigh Match' and 'The Gallie' competitions for next year. We need to have expressions of interest from current FAC holders who have a 'free pistol' on their FAC.

IMG 0670The North East Schools Pistol Championships took place on Tuesday 19th November 2019 at the Newcastle Fencing Centre with the NSRA in attendance. Targets

The NSRA attended the Target Shooting Show at the NAEC, Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire. This event celebrates all UK target shooting disciplines and embraces the many varied target sports in the country.

Chairman’s Briefing Notes

The Rifle Committee met on the 5th October at Bisley. There was a full agenda with many important topics discussed. Herewith the main points:

  • Pershing Match selection process for the match at Camp Atterbury in the USA, planned for 2021, was reviewed. It was agreed to plan for a squad of 20 plus three officials. The Committee were also shown the suggested team livery.
