The NSRA (National Small-bore Rifle Association) is the national governing body for the sport of Target Shooting www.nsra.co.uk and is based at the home of Shooting in Bisley, Surrey. We have an opportunity for an experienced sales administration and telesales person to join our wholesale and retail businesses.

Following a recent restructuring, the following full-time role has become available ie 35 hours per week 09.00 – 17.00. You will be supporting our wholesale business (Bisley Sports Wholesale) and NSRA Shop. If you are a strong administrator with a passion for customer service and an ability to build ongoing business relationships we would like to hear from you. You will also need to be flexible as at times you may be required to work in our NSRA Shop www.nsrashop.co.uk.

The main tasks and responsibilities are listed below: -

  • Respond to inbound customer email and phone enquiries in a timely and courteous manner
  • Proactively maintain regular contact (via email and phone) with existing trade and retail customers and keep them updated on new lines, special offers etc.
  • Prepare orders for shipment including packing, arranging collection/delivery and preparation of invoices
  • Place orders with suppliers for new stock following NSRA Ltd ordering procedures
  • Ensure the inventory management system is kept up to date with all sales and purchases
  • Keep the management team updated on new enquiries from potential suppliers, trade buyers and retail customers
  • Provide a simple, weekly sales report confirming proactive sales activity including number of outgoing calls, contacts made, follow up actions agreed and orders taken
  • On a monthly basis, prepare a report showing all sales grouped by trade customers
  • Working with the finance department, ensure that outstanding accounts are settled as per our trading terms
  • Ensure the security of all firearms and ammunition stored onsite for BSW
  • Maintain the firearms and ammunition registers as per Section 40 (Schedule 4) of the Firearms Act 1968
  • Liaise with the NSRA shop to ensure required stock is ordered in good time

Gun Shop experience would be an advantage but not essential as full training will be given. The successful candidate will also need to undertake a DBS Check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
