I also remember one year in Dumfries (can’t be that long ago, maybe five years or so), the wind was blowing in on the back of the firing point during the Haig and it was lashing rain.

I remember Dumbarton in 1973, vividly!! There was so much rain the wooden ammo for which I was so proud to have (I was still a 14 year old junior) became so swollen I couldn’t get the ammo out of the blocks!!
