Winter 2018/19 Postal Competitions
Entry forms have been distributed to all individual members of the NSRA and club copies have gone to the Club Secretaries with their latest edition of the ‘On Target’ magazine. As well as the normal array of competitions encompassing Prone, 3P, LWSR, Airgun and Benchrest, there are a number of new competitions that I wish to draw your particular attention to:
Following the successful pilot project for online shooting clubs, all applications for approval (new or renewal) should be submitted directly to the Home Office via the web portal, at the link below. This applies to all clubs in England and Wales. Applications will only be accepted by the Home Office, and should no longer be sent directly to the police.
The NSRA acts as “sponsor” for people wishing to bring their firearms to mainland Britain to shoot in NSRA events. The Association administers the applications in conjunction with Surrey Police who issue the Visitor’s Permit.
Due to issues involving visitors to Britain in other Police Authorities, there have been some changes to the way the Police are administering this service.

New General Data Protection Regulations
The new General Data Protection Regulations are now in place, with a date for compliance set at 25th May 2018. By this date it will be necessary for all clubs and associations to be operating in alignment with the new legislation. This is basically explained in the attached document NSRA GDPR Guidance for Clubs and Associations which is also available on the NSRA website.
