On Saturday 24th November 2018, in front of family and friends, a ceremony was held to rename Hall A in the Lord Roberts Centre, Bisley to the Mick Gault Range.
This was done in recognition of Micks’ outstanding achievements in Pistol Shooting.
Mick has competed in six Commonwealth Games stretching from Victoria in 1994 to Glasgow in 2014. He has won 18 medals during these Games (9 golds, 4 silvers and 5 bronze) which is a record for an athlete in any sport, that he jointly holds with Australian shooter Phillip Adams - although Mick has won more golds.
At the ceremony it was also announced that Mick was being made a Vice-President of the National Small-bore Rifle Association. Mick was awarded an OBE in the 2007 New Years Honour List in recognition of his then, 15 medals.
