It is with very deep regret that we report the death of Jenny Page, who retired from the NSRA staff in October 2012.
Jenny joined the staff in October 1995 to work in the Secretariat with Brian Woodall. Until the selection of international teams for ISSF matches was taken over by British Shooting, she was responsible for much of the administrative work on the selection of overseas teams and their entry, travel and accommodation arrangements. She also looked after the National Squad selection arrangements through the system of Nominated Meetings introduced by the NSRA International Committee under the chairmanship of the late Malcolm Cooper. More recently, and particularly up to her retirement she spent much time producing and adding material to the NSRA website. Her versatility meant she was also able to give assistance to Membership and Competitions Departments at their busiest times of the year, as well as working with Brian on production of The Rifleman. Prior to joining the NSRA she had worked at the Crown Agents.
Although not a shooter, she was closely involved as a volunteer with the administration of smallbore shooting, particularly at Wimbledon Park Rifle Club, where her husband Bruce was a member. She also worked for the Civil Service Rifle Association, and was the last County Rifle Captain for London, following in the footsteps of Joe Eagan and Vic Starling.
Jenny had been battling with cancer for much of the time since her retirement. The funeral arrangements will be notified when received.
