Having been advertised at the British Airgun Championship in April, and with entry forms emailed to those who expressed an interest, sadly entries to the above event are at this moment very poor. Whilst the primary purpose of the event was to decide the 50m British Champion for 2018 (The Gallie Championship), it was also to be used as a selection process for the GB Mayleigh Team (team of 10 plus 2 reserves), in the match against USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia.
The decision has been made to extend the entry into our Winter Postal Competitions to MONDAY 10th SEPTEMBER. There will be absolutely no entries accepted after this date. As well as the normal competitions open to annual and associate members of affiliated clubs, there are an array of new or revamped competitions to make you aware of:
From Saturday 11th August to Saturday 18th August we will be open from 0830 to 1800 and will not be closing for lunch.
Furthermore, on Thursday 9th August and Friday 10th August will we be open late until 1900.

Please canvas your local MP now and tell them your views. DON'T LEAVE IT TO SOMEONE ELSE!
Provided all competitors agree to their names and scores being published on the Appleton RC & NSRA’s websites the Great Britain Dewar Trial scores will appear if you click the following link: http://appletonrc.co.uk/frametop.htm
This will be the first time that the NSRA has streamed the live scores from this prestigious trial. The match results will not be published online until all the teams have shot the match as the scores need to be collated and published by the NSRA.
The trial is shot at Appleton Rifle Club in Cheshire and it is expected that 46 athletes will attend this year. The trialists are divided into 2 squads and the firing points are allocated on a random basis. The top ten athletes from each of the squads (A & B) will be selected for the GB Team.
