Please be aware that unless you have correctly completed and returned your club re-affiliation paperwork for 2016, your club will not be insured. We are unable to make any exceptions to this ruling as our underwriters will not accept claims made if the correct paperwork has not been submitted and received at our NSRA offices.
Please note that if you have already submitted your renewal paperwork, your club will be covered by our insurance, providing this is complete and correct. Any slight delay you may experience in receiving confirmation of your renewal is due to the Christmas / New Year break and the resulting volume of work we have to process.
To avoid unnecessary telephone calls and if you have yet to send in your renewal paperwork, please refer to the letter sent to you in October 2015, detailing the relevant forms for completion, the information required and the club renewal fee payable for 2016.
Thank you in advance for your co-operation and understanding during what is for us a very busy time of the year.
If you need another copy of the forms, all 2016 membership forms can be downloaded below:
The NSRA is the national governing body for all Small-bore Rifle and Pistol Target Shooting in the United Kingdom, including Airgun and Match Crossbow Shooting.
The BSSC and the NSRA are asking their members to write to their MEPs as a matter of urgency to make them aware of the far-reaching impact of the draft Weapons Directive currently being pushed through by the European Commission. This directive is being hurried through in the aftermath of the Brussels bombings, but seeks sweeping restrictions on the legal ownership and use of firearms throughout Europe that will not affect the illegal use of firearms in crime or terrorism.
The Association would like to offer a sincere apology to the families of both Fred Jennings and Frederick Cook for the mistaken use of a photograph in the obituary section of the Spring 2016 edition of On Target, the NSRA’s quarterly magazine. The photograph in the obituary of Frederick Cook is actually a photograph of Fred Jennings. Both Blaze Publishing and the NSRA are extremely sorry that this unfortunate mistake has been made.
The Great Britain Team for the 2016 Dewar Match will be selected following the trial to be held at Appleton Rifle Club on the 18th June.
Those who have already qualified for the trial will be found on page 50 of The Rifleman, Winter 2015 edition.
The arguments for and against the proposed ban on lead ammunition continue and it is important that we as members of a major NGB in shooting sports make our views known.
There is a National petition which you may wish to sign to support the cause for retaining lead ammunition. Don't forget - family members and friends can also sign. The more signatures we submit the greater the pressure we can apply!
